The new version has been updated here. Best of luck to all the finalists!
I have a new update here (http://www.monkkonen.net/temp/DriftmoonPreview-231109.exe) that fixes the crashing bug sometimes seen with your companions, and also enables the game to support a wider range of DirectX installations. Have fun playing!
Updated this to the newest version! looking forward to checking out the changes!
There's a new version available!
http://www.monkkonen.net/temp/DriftmoonPreview-201109.exe
New in this version is a whole new sound engine, it works much smoother and doesn't crash the game at random. Also we have arrows for our bow, and the skeleton archers now carry various amounts of arrows. I've also fixed many of the bugs that have been found.
Be sure to give ideas and comments if you have any, I'm constantly working on improving the game.
Thanks for your comments and votes everyone!!
Zh4rsiest: Driftmoon is developed with C++ (and still is, as it is a work in progress). The game engine is my own work.
In what program was the game created? C++, Basic , Game maker ? Tell me please

Incredible stuff here, Ville! I love the feel of the game. The combat system is s familiar, yet pure genius. Just a suggestion: You should add some little line of text or something to explain the odd free-form movement of objects. I love how that works, but it I didn't notice any explanation for what's going on there. Perhaps the old caretaker can mention something about the player's telekinetic powers? In dragging objects around (chairs, rocks, etc.), I really felt like the character was moving things around with his mind, not just pushing or pulling the objects.
I'm really excited for the final release of this! :D
